SWWAN Mission Statement
SWWAN’s mission is to
enhance the quality of life and promote the
good health of all single working women, including
single mothers, by providing a place to stand
together, by finding and sharing worthwhile
resources, by negotiating discounts and deals
on necessary products and services, and by supporting
research and policy to ensure that single women
have equal opportunities to receive education,
fair compensation, a voice in the workplace,
and appropriate standing in the global community.

Values
We value honesty and integrity in all human
relationships—between employer and worker,
business owner and customer, man and woman,
woman and her colleagues, friends and families.
We value respect for single working women as
the strong, proud individuals they are, or are
striving to become. We value equality—in
social standards, access to education and work
opportunities, pricing and service to consumers,
in compensation—as a means to promoting
good health. We value generosity and compassion—for
each other and for the unrepresented, the downtrodden
and the underprivileged everywhere in the world.
Strategies and action
plans
To advance its mission, the Single Working Women’s
Affiliate Network (SWWAN) will do the following:
- promote voluntary member interchange
- observe ethical and professional standards
- sponsor and/or famembers accumulate in
the SWWAN’s Way (Single Working Women’s
Way)
- it has had declared and will promote the
first and only official holiday for single
working women—Single Working Women’s
Week by conducting public relations campaigns
and sponsoring celebration events during the
first week of August each year.
- SWWAN will provide premium content (e.g.,
interviews with high-profile and celebrity
single women around the world) and services
for paid members.
